Hi

Welcome to world of INFRA

Introducing the worlds first hand held infra rework station

Here is an honest attempt to give infra rework at reasonable price without any degradation in quality

Our product has been built using one of the best infrared techniques

First of all - Why is an INFRA machine needed?

What more can it do than a hot air?

First since 2006 June all PCB's made all over the world must be lead free PCB's

The melting temperature for lead free solder is 225 ?C

Also if you have a PCB with lead free solder wire and if you try using hot air to repair it the PCB tracks can go bad.

So there is no other choice but to use INFRA heating station

How does this infra work?

The Infra rework consists of two units; one is the Pre Heater and the second one is a Hand Held unit.

The Pre Heater is used as a base on which the PCB is placed and kept in place with the help of small magnetic foot.

The Pre Heater is used to preheat the PCB up to a suitable temperature from the lower side. Approx mate temperature for preheat is 100 degrees which will display on the unit 300 in meter in the preheater

Once the PCB is preheated to the required temperature the Hand Held unit is used to heat the required part to a higher temperature (sufficient to melt the solder) and the required part can be removed.

Another new part can be also be fixed in the same way ? after proper application of flux

TIPS

The hand held unit should not be used at maximum temperature. The peak temperatures are quite high and can damage the PCB.

Moreover different types of IC's require different working temperatures depending upon size, if it is glued and various similar factors.

Specifications

Pre Heater:

Caution!!! The heating element is HOT in use.

This infrared heating element contains the CE marking.

The CE marking indicates conformity with the relevant European safety directive(s).

Please read this notice fully before operating the heating element.

Protect from physical damage and exposure to water or chemically corrosive substances.

The operator is 100% responsible for the operating conditions of this heating element. While the manufacturer gives a warranty of 6 months after date of purchase, interfering with the heating element will negate all guarantees.

Heating element specifications -

Iron-chrome aluminium resistance wire

Heater Voltage: 230 Volts standard.

Electrical Power Loading: 6.8 W/cm? (43.5W/inch)

Useful wavelength range:2 to 10 Microns.

Average Operating Life: 5,000 - 10,000 Hours.

Mean Maximum Surface Temperature: 685?C

Approximate Time Until Top?Temperature: 8 minutes

The heat up curves for ceramic heater are as shown below

The spectral power density of the pre heater is shown in the graph below

Hand Held unit:

Surface rating 76.8 kW/m ?

Maximum permissible temperature 900 ? C

Wavelength range 2 - 10 ?? m

Lifetime ? more than 3000 hours

Super high temperature radiators were developed to increase the previous maximum possible surface rating of ceramic panel radiators from 64 kW/m? to 77 kW/m?.

These radiators, produced using the hollow casting ceramic process, are filled with thermal insulation material and have a special black glaze and a gold-plated back. At an operating temperature of 900 ?C, over 75 % of the electrical energy supplied is transferred to the material to be heated as medium to long-wave IR radiation.

Series radiators are therefore particularly suitable for use in plant construction in which special solutions have to be drawn up for the customer's specific needs and for applications requiring high outputs.

Concerning spectral power distribution refer to the following drawing

The Radiator and Radiant heating up curves are as shown below

What is a ceramic infrared radiator?
Ceramic IR radiators are electrical heating elements consisting mainly out of a technical ceramic being high-temperature resistant.

What is the application for an ceramic heating element?
IR heating elements are used for an endless number of heating and drying applications. A selection of IR heating and drying applications has been placed on our Website under applications. For determining if electric heating elements can be used for your application we provide consulting and test devices. If required we can do heating and drying tests in our laboratory, too.

Which advantages does an electric infrared heater have?
Electric IR heaters have among others the following advantages:
Long service life due to an embedded heating coil.
Surface is clean and does not oxidise.

What is the wavelength of an ceramic infrared emitter?
electric IR emitters provide only the non-visible infrared radiation and no visible or rather hardly visible light. The emitted infrared radiation covers the medium and long-wave infrared range of 2 - 10 ?m.

Does an infrared radiant heater fulfill clean room requirements?
Yes. For decades IR radiant heaters have been used in clean rooms class 100 or better. They are used in semiconductor production, in the pharmaceutical industry and in manufacturing picture tubes. Infrared Radiators are also used in the production of modern TFT displays.

What is the optimal distance between infrared radiators and good to be heated?
In the case of heat-sensitive goods (paper, thin foils) the radiation distance should not be less than 50 mm. If the radiators are not mounted densely next to each other, the distance must be larger if the goods to be heated are stationary. If the distance between radiators is 3 - 4 cm, a distance between radiators and goods of 15 - 20 cm is required in order to achieve uniform heating.

Can infrared radiant heating elements be used to heat metals?
Bright metal shows a relatively weak absorption of infrared radiation. However, corroded, roughened, coated, enameled or painted metal can reach an absorption degree of more than 90%.

Are infrared heaters susceptible to splash water?
When hot, infrared emitters are splash resistant. If the radiators get in touch with water when they are cold, they must subsequently dry at a low temperature (max. 80?C) for a few minutes.

Questions concerning health
Infrared radiation elements are successfully used in warming cabins and therapeutic equipment. The heat radiation emitted by Radiators has healthy effects. Risks are not known.

Reference Data Some people need to take an ERSA rework station for 5000-6000 Euro, some other a Jovy for 2000
Euro, and again other people take a Tornado Indra Station or in many cases the 250$
TORNADO INFRA HANDHELD and DO THE SAME JOB !!! At the end it depends all on the SKILLS OF
THE PERSON THAT WORK with the rework station.
So, everybody can use whatever suits him most, and what he can afford
That product is not with the CE certifications, we suggest to check from your country's regulation to determine if no problem in importing of it. Six months warranty after the delivery day. Any replacement will be sent by DHL to the customer after received the defected item.

Since it's not the item manufactured by our factory, so, we have the lead time in 3-5 working days.
